Blogathon recap, week of May 9
Here are some posts I enjoyed during the second week of the blogathon:
Thoughtful Thursday: Progress by Rachel at East Coast Musings. Rachel’s been posting more serious, thinky stuff lately, and it’s really showcasing her writing beautifully. I’m happy to announce that she’s going to be my guest blogger in just a couple of days.
Ten things that annoy me about Facebook by Christine at Inspired Life. Fight the power, Christine!
My favorite thing I read this week and why at Depression Cookies. I laughed really hard.
The Art of Teaching — and a Giveaway at Mamahhh. Win a free subscription to what sounds like a great online magazine for people with children in their lives. Check that link quickly to enter because the deadline is today, Saturday, 5/14, at 11 p.m ET!
Lower the dropout rate, change the community by Rosalyn at Small Town Writer. I only recently discovered Rosalyn’s blog about small-town life, and I really enjoy it. This particular post was really meaningful to me.
And finally, three haikus:
Bacon at Lady Moxie. What’s not to love about bacon?
Needs at Babette Feasts. She and I have very similar needs.
Found Poetry by Tracy at I Hate My Messageboard. Proof that there is divine order in the Universe.
I’m making myself stop now so I have something to post next week.

Thanks for the shout-out about our muffin-top blog post. My mom will be thrilled to know you laughed. Humor is such a saving grace! Enjoying your blog, and love this recap!
Thank you for highlighting Rosalyn- I definitely want to read more of her blog!
Thanks for the mention!
Mmm bacon. I’m going over to check out that Haiku now. I like bacon and just realized that I couldn’t tell you the last time I ate some bacon. It’s been that long. I’ll have to remedy this non-bacon time. Hopefully next week. Oh wait, back in March I had some bacon bits in a salad that I got from Wendy’s. Pieces of bacon count, I guess, lol. Or maybe not. Thanks for finding some good posts to read from the blogathon.
I am glad my haiku showed you that the universe is indeed beautiful.
